Scope and Intent
This self-exclusion policy applies to all persons registered with 8999bet. It sets out the protective measures available to help manage gambling activity in accordance with applicable law and the Terms & Conditions of 8999bet.
Time-Out (Short Break)
A Time-Out is a temporary break from all gaming activity. During a Time-Out you may not place bets, deposit funds, withdraw funds or access any of 8999bet products. Time-Out periods are configurable in the Account Profile under the Time-Out section. A Time-Out begins on confirmation of the initial request and may be revoked only after 24 hours from that time. When a Time-Out expires, the account is automatically reactivated and normal access resumes unless you have subsequently initiated another Time-Out.
Self-Exclusion (Extended Break)
Self-exclusion provides a longer period during which your 8999bet account will remain closed. You may select self-exclusion for a fixed period ranging from 24 hours to permanent. To initiate, use the Self-Exclusion page in your account or submit a request by electronic communication to our support channels as published in the account. Upon receipt of a valid self-exclusion request, the account will enter a 24-hour cooling-off stage during which no gambling activity is permitted. After the cooling-off period, you will be presented with the available self-exclusion periods; you must confirm your selection by return email or through the self-exclusion interface. The pre-selected time periods cannot be altered. If we do not receive your confirmation within the subsequent 24 hours, the request will be considered withdrawn and the account will be reopened by notice. Once Self-Exclusion is active, the account is disabled and deposits and withdrawals are prohibited for the duration of the exclusion. Upon expiry, the account will be automatically reactivated unless you have extended or renewed a period of exclusion.
Permanent self-exclusion cannot be reversed, and the opening of a new account is prohibited for the duration of the exclusion. Any new or existing accounts opened in violation of this policy may be blocked and funds inaccessible.
Financial Protection and Usage Limits
You may impose financial protection measures by setting limits on deposits, losses or session durations. Limits are configured in the My Account area. If you exceed any maximum limit, further deposits, bets or related actions may be restricted automatically. To set, adjust or revoke a limit, submit the request through the specified account controls or contact Customer Support in writing or by electronic notice. The Company will consider such requests in its absolute discretion and may deny them. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that self-imposed limits are observed and that promotional material is not directed to customers who have self-excluded. The Customer acknowledges that attempting to bypass self-imposed limits or using multiple accounts to circumvent exclusion may void protections and is not the responsibility of 8999bet.
Bets and Settlement During Exclusion
If bets are placed or pending at the time a self-exclusion or Time-Out takes effect, those bets will be settled in accordance with the official results and applicable terms, and the exclusion does not retroactively alter settled outcomes.
No Shortening During Exclusion; Extension or Revocation
Once self-exclusion has commenced, the period cannot be shortened. A permanent exclusion cannot be reversed. If you wish to modify or extend the exclusion after the initial period, you must submit a request in writing or via electronic notice and await confirmation. The Company may require additional verification and may take reasonable time to respond. Extensions, if granted, will be implemented in accordance with the extension details provided by support.
Support for Responsible Gaming
For guidance and support regarding potential gambling problems, you may contact a recognised gambling-support organisation or a licensed counselling service. 8999bet will provide information on such services on request and will not promote gambling activities to excluded customers.
Compliance, Data Handling and Notices
This Self-Exclusion policy forms part of the Terms & Conditions of 8999bet. We may update the policy from time to time with notice on the site and within the Account settings. We will endeavour to ensure that no promotional material reaches excluded players and will apply reasonable safeguards against access by excluded individuals. Data related to self-exclusion is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
Age and Responsible Playing
Under 18s may not register or gamble on 8999bet. Gambling can be addictive. Players are encouraged to gamble responsibly and to seek help if needed.
